Many men in america think its the women's job to cater to him. ANd they think is the men's job to provide a job for the family. In india people say its worst but i dont believe them. I love India. I'm african american. Women are very independent here. but some think its okay for men to whip them. Abusing a spouse or off-spring is illeagall here what do you think is a man's or lady's job in india? IS it illeagal like here? Just out of curiosty do the women in brothels often have husband's there?

Today in most parts of India, both men and women share homes, jobs, life alike! traditionally, in a conservative way, women are home-makers, men are protective as bread-winners and dispensers of wisdom and security; a kind of village set-up, but works well! In cities, many homes have both men and women working and earning, and sharing chores at home: so, law (legislation) is keeping abreast, as it always does, with trends in society, there is equality in empowerment. Take any field, any profession, you find women doing well, some times excelling and bettering in results! The line of divide is thin! As for the last point, sex workers rarely have the home concept yet: they may not have their own homes in the strict sense, the way your survey tries to assess. (for good reasons)
