You ask the Lord to help you from knocking out that person, and you grin and bare it. Also pray for your enemy, and love them.

I consider the source. Then I just look at him/her and say something like "Is that the best you can do?" Or maybe "Go back to school and learn some better words". It really helps to look at the person like you think they are the stupidest thing you have ever seen.
I guess that is not really "turning the other cheek" but it sure beats getting all upset.

You just do... it's not healthy to let insults affect you, especially if it's just one person or a few people. Just ignore it. Even if it has affected you, act like it hasn't.

I tell the person who insulted me that I'm going to pray for them (i usually mean it) but for the most part that really ticks the person off. does that count???

Since everything in the bible is always interpreted differently from what was actually read, I say ... it means insult them right back.
