I breastfed all 3 of my kids, but someone put a post up saying which is better:enfamil or nestle good start? Someone from LaLecheLeague replied that the breast is better. They went on and on about the benefits. I believe that LaLecheLeague is less of a support to the mothers who breastfeed when they put down people that opt for formula. That is their decision, not yours. I hate LaLecheLeague...they give breastfeeders a bad name.

I agree with you. I did not breast feed either of my kids, it was just something I didn't want to do. But the representative at the hospital where I had my son tried to make me feel guilty about it. I already had my daughter and she did fine on formula, so I didn't let it bother me. But I can see where you are coming from in that they seem like bullies.

I don't agree completely. I am a nursing mother and have had help from LLL all of the women I spoke with were very friendly and informative.
I think they're just advocates for nursing and in an open forum they express their thoughts.
It is proven fact that nursing is 100% better than feeding a child formula. There are so many benefits that are deprived to a child who is formula fed.
I'm not saying that women who don't nurse are wrong in what they choose, we as mothers are able to choose what we feel is best and most comfortable for us and our children.
Hate is a very strong word to use against a GROUP of people dedicated to help other women, I can understand not agreeing with ONE persons opinion but not to judge the entirety of a group based on one persons comments.

Most of the people I have met from LLL are nice folks. It isn't polite to constantly remind bottle-feeders that breastmilk is better but if they choose to ask a question on an open forum, they are going to have to accept that there will be answers they didn't want. Breastmilk is better, it is fact. Formula isn't good enough, this too is a fact. The nursing nazis (not all LLL people are this way and not all people this way are LLLers) should leave those who choose to formula-feed alone, but I don't think there is anything wrong with LLLers in general.
