I tried reinstalling the video drivers, didn't work..

yes, how did the installiation go? did you bumb anything inside the case? did you make sure to install the ram in the right places,

did you mabey hit your graphics card while putting the ram in?? check it over, look for broken parts on it.

It's the monitor, most likely. If the computer is working fine, then there's something wrong with the monitor. If you punched it lately, then that's your problem.

Your laptop display rely on memory to share, yes, it could be your new memory thats causing it
