It's hard to answer that question now, because no material object is worth more than a human being, no matter how despicable. But a hundred years from now, George W. Bush will be a barely-remembered unfortunate episode in history, while the Mona Lisa will still represent one of the great achievements in the history of art.

George W. Bush's life is worthless. He is a complete waste of oxygen. The Mona Lisa is a masterpiece painted by a genius.

The Mona Lisa because the Mona Lisa doesn't spend billions of dollars on pointless military operations.

mona lisa. GW is just a goofy guy - lots of those in the world. But only one original Mona Lisa. If I were in the Louvre and it was burning down and I only had time to save one of the two... i think i'd grab the painting and run....
Call me Nietzschian if you want - you'd be mostly right anyway.

I hate George W.Bush's policies, just because they devaluate the value of human lives. And now you want me to compare a human life with a material thing, priceless as it may be. No way!

I would have to assume that the importance being measured is the relative value to human kind over time. This being assumed, one must believe that an inspirational work of art is more important than the life of a dogmatic leader that seeks conflict. Unless, of course, George W. Bush is so polarizing and so dogmatic in his views that he inspires others to become more civil and more civic, so that the chances of another G.W. Bush as leader are minimal.
