I don't know about sizes but nothing should be hanging over the sides. Some people have big hips but the belly is kind of flush with the pants. I think people should use judgement

skinny jeans bigger than a 12 to me is a no no. sometimes even a 10. skinny jeans are meant to be on skinny people. having hips and curves can make them look terribly wrong on you. juniors are sizes xs-xl or 1-13. some places even carry 15 in juniors if your lucky.

It depends on how tall you are and how fashion forward you are. If you are under 5'5" and wear a size 24-26, you are good. And if you are taller than 5'5" I don't think you should be any bigger than a size 30, to wear the jeans. I used to buy premium denim for a boutique and I never ordered skinnys over a size 30, because if you are larger than that you should not be wearing them, unless you are 7 feet tall. Also when you wear them please wear heels and a tunic, there is nothing worse than someone wearing skinnys with sneakers and a cropped top with their muffins hanging over.

i don't know if it is a number size thing as it is more of a body type thing. if you have any amount of hips or curves, you really should not be wearing skinny jeans. as the name of the jeans implies, skinny......

Depends on your height and how tone you are. Your height to weight proportion commonly know as HWP. In juniors I would say above a 9 could be bad if you are short. If you are 6'6" you might be OK.

i don't know - i have curves && i wear them. my hips are around 30" or so.
skinny jeans were actually made for girls with bigger hips to make their legs look longer.
i think if you're bulging out of them [or any article of clothing], that's much too big.
