I think this country has been captured by our own covert operators who JFK was going to shut down. The CIA was involved and had the clout to do the job. Even the Secret Service was afraid of them.

The president appointed his attorney to the the Position of Attorney General who has shown disrespect for Congress by lieing.

The president rewarded the planner of the Iraq invasion by appointing him to the head of the World Bank. Only he could not support him after his ethical wrongdoing was made notice to other countries and they were able to pressure the president enough.

I don't know what we have to do to stop them. There aren't any students or young people who are demonstrating like they did for the original police action now known as the Vietnam war.

To me, it's how both of the major parties are, and it's how they HAVE to be to win the election, if they want to. See, this is how I see it, 24 hour news and op-ed shows and talk radio is allowing all sorts of views to be on the air, and, in real-time, allowing one camp or the other, liberal or conservative to be assigned to either side of ANY policy debate. This means that there is no place remaining in politics where the Rep.-Dem. divide hasn't been throughly discussed by some yahoos. So, elected officials are now expected to have either one camp or another's view on ANY issue.

Now think of how important it is to be seen as either a maverick or a party loyalist, depending on your constituency. To be a maverick, one would have to have an opposing view on something important, like a hot button social view or foreign policy stance, while party loyalists have to toe the line. With the need for either major party to have both mavericks and loyalists to get the majority, they have to somehow have a platform that allows for both sets of people to join in the fun. To me, this allows for a lot of hypocrisy, and should be thusly expected on both sides.
