I don't think it would effect how you look physically, like a change in hair color, but it probably effects how you look at yourself. When people say things like, "You look like a Jessica" then they probably have somebody close to them, like a friend, or family member who is named Jessica, and they put their standard "Jessica" to that image. Hope this helps =]

What you are really asking is whether a name has an effect on the impression, the image others form of a person. The answer is yes, it does. As you may know, actors routinely get stage names. Their hope is that the proper name gives them a better chance to work, and receiving the right publicity. They make their living out of image, so they must know what they do, and why.

Well, no. When you're a baby, you're given a name, but you haven't really developed to look like a name. You have a plain name like Jessica, but could look extraordinary.
It's just that the plain names would be used to call plain looking people. Like most Nicoles would have brown hair, etc. It's weird like that.

it's hard for me to say "Yes, your name has an effect on how you look".. but (this was either on Yahoo or Science Daily.. I forget which) a week or two ago they published a study.. they showed a couple of pictures to a class of college students... and asked them which one looks like a tom and which one a bob.. 98% of the class picked the same pictures for Tom and Bob... now you would need a lot more info to find statistical significance.. but man is that interesting.

Yes name always impacts on individual, that's why the elder says keep a good name because it affects to your whole life. If you will be called among your family/ friends the identity will pay you and you will be benefited. So choose always a better prosperous name so that you can avail its benefit. Its circles around you & you spiral around it certainly impact comes ahead.

Yes it Does. Name converts to numbers and numbers give you the characteristics on what colors you like ,if design and harmony is important to you, how daring you are when it comes to being different .Also I find that name gives you certain manners as well. Your name is a powerful tool.

Nope. But some people have a friend whose name is John, for example. So whenever they see someone who looks like their friend John they might say "You look like a John to me".

you're on the right track -- we subconsciously associate physical traits with certain names. for me, a jessica is a cute jewish girl with light brown hair and pale skin. a justina is a blond, shy girl with large blue eyes. and so on...
