The connection between economics and Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing" is not as obvious as some of the other movies mentioned above. However, when I first watched Lee's film, I was struck by how prominent the theme of property rights, which is central to economics, is in that movie.

Fun with Dick and Jane (with Jim Carrey). The company goes out of business and the local economy basically crashes. It's fun because there are also a lot of accounting scandals that lead to the economic crash.

It's fairly old but I'm sure someone has put "The Grapes of Wrath" on DVD by now- It's a study of a family on the move during the depression. Really good stuff. You may also try "Roger & Me" by Michael Moore. Both are ulitmately about the modern economy's exploitation of the worker. Never saw it, but heard good things about "Barbarians at the Gate"

Rogue Trader (1999, with Ewan McGregor),
it's about futures fraud which is kinda under economics.
Can try to find Fountainhead, a 1949 movie based on Ayn Rand novel, which advocates extreme free-market views.
