I couldn't agree more...he's fantastic. Most people think he only did comedy until a few years back...but it was an early dramatic performance that caught my attention. If you haven't seen "The Razor's Edge" (from the early/mid 80's) Watch it...WOW. In addition to his subtle yet powerful acting chops he co-wrote the screenplay (originally a W. Somerset Maugham, novel).
For me the the scene in the elevator (near the end) of "Lost in Translation" is one of the most powerful displays of his understated approach. His eyes...his body language...he's emoting a lifetime worth of desire and pain and repression...w/o saying a word...brilliant!!

Yes, he is great.
I love his earlier movies, but I love his newer ones even more.
The Life Aquatic opened up a whole new movie genre for me. He has always been able to make me laugh. I love 'What About Bob?', 'Stripes', 'Ghostbusters' and 'Groundhog Day'
You would like 'Rushmore' and 'The Royal Tenumbaums' they have a similar feeling to those you listed.
I didn't really like Lost in Translation that much though, it was too...I don't know, I suppose you could say...quiet?

it fairly is a not uncomplicated one...i could could desire to declare Robin Williams with the aid of fact he stars in greater family members oriented video clips and videos that have a ethical to them. He additionally selections and chooses his video clips so which you comprehend he does not basically act for money, yet with the aid of fact he somewhat loves performing. I additionally could desire to decide for him with the aid of fact he he performed 2 characters in satisfied feet. don't get me incorrect, bill Murray is a huge actor, yet Robin Williams cuts the cake.

I do. I think it's his timing. I've always been impressed with someone who can make a character so believable regardless of the absurdity of the situation. that creates the humor for me.
