Mankind produces more than enough food to feed everyone on earth.
The political tyrants that block delivery and distribution for political gain are the problem. The U.S. alone gives away tremendous food supplies that rot in the transport ships and warehouses waiting the permission of tyrants to distribute it. Those tyrants use food as a weapon to destroy groups by starvation and to bribe starving people to join their regimes.
Solve the political problems of the world, eliminate all tyrants and dictators and you will go along way toward ending world hunger.

Organize with activists in your own community to create a local non-profit that provides poor people with food, clothes, shelter, healthcare, education, and job placement. Then, when you are successfully fighting hunger in your own community, you can expand outwards until you are successfully fighting hunger globally.

The most important part is that you provide the poor people with education and/or job placement. The goal is to get them to be self-sufficient, so that they can support themselves without charity.

Also, it'd be good to provide this help with loans. That way the clients can't take advantage of charity, and you will not run out of funding.
