If you were stranded on a desert island and could either have a ping pong ball or a plastic bottle cap, which would you choose and why?

i choose the ping pong ball cause i could use it as entertainment while awaiting rescue and becuase it can be used as a bobber for fishing. it can help you decide where the most level ground is at on wich to build your hut. also a ping pong ball can help you by forecasting the weather on the desert island. if the ball is wet, it is raining. if the ball is warm, likely to be a hot one. if there is snow on the ball, it is snowing. if the ball is moving, it is windy. a ping pong ball can also be used to make a makeshift compass and or clock. set the ball in full sun and mark the edge of the shadow it casts. about the time the shadow moves a hands width, one hour has past. subtract a finger for daylight savings. for a compass, use a coconut shell and add some water in it. put the ball in and set the shell on the sand. whatever edge the ball rests on or stops at is the direction of north.

I would choose a ping pong ball. It would hurt more when i threw it at who ever is stranding me on a desert island.

Ping Pong Ball because that at least gives me something to do. I could play Ping Pong with some coconuts or strips of tree or something. =)

Does Macgyver come with either of these? if so then I'll take the bottle cap... I'm sure he could figure out some cool way to save us...
if not, then I'll take the ping pong ball, at least I'll be able to keep myself entertained until.. I wither away, and die.

A ping pong ball, you could cut it in half and be just like two bottle caps.... twice as useless!

ping pong ball...it's entertaining and if you are stranded on a desert island all by yourself you're gonna need some form of entertainment.

ping pong ball you can amuse yourself with it you cant do that with a bottle cap.
