I know the homeless dude in my town. I even drank a beer with him once. So I say "Hi!" I hate snobby people who think they're better than others just cause they have money. I wouldn't want to be homeless or anything but a person is still a person and should be treated as so.

I used to think of these guys as scary, crazy, dirty sub-humans. Then my best friend lost everything and owed everyone. He's a homeless person a hundred times over.
I now realize everything I thought about these people was what I made up in my mind to rationalizing my own actions.

The way to avoid giving a beggar a dollar is to tell yourself they'll waste it on alcohol or they probably secretly live really well off. I told myself I was not going to be fooled. Then I realized I've fooled myself all these years.

I'm not saying people should give out money. That would drive the middle class to homestead the streets from 9 - 5 weekdays. I learned to take them as people like any other people. They are worthy of the same consideration as anyone can be, and maybe an extra dollar now and then :-)

I don't do anything because were I live it is now illegal to give them anything. That's why they have places like homeless shelters. I used to work at a gas station that also had a fast food place in it and there was 2 guys down on there luck outside asking people for money. People would give them money, but they didn't go get any food or gas for their car, they got booze instead. It made me mad. Thats how they make their living

I usually buy some fast food and give to them. I never give money, because I don't know their situation. They may have landed their self in the spot they're in.

Seen a woman with a little boy once during Christmas. She had a sign saying "will workl for food'. I felt so bad, Went in to the local Wal-mart and bought two jackets. Then got two backpacks and filled with a few clothes, food, bottled water, small first aid kit, etc....I called a taxi form mu cell and paid for it to take her and the boy to a local shelter for the night.

i replaced into on the thank you to a wearing journey and a homeless guy replaced into protecting a demonstration... provide me beer money.. !! NO joke so I gave him 1 / 4 a minimum of he replaced into truthful ! many times, NO i do no longer provide homeless human beings money.. I paintings very difficult to have the few issues in existence that I even have- hell the homeless beggers probable earn extra money than I do working... I even have even although given nutrition, outfits to a homeless couple on my thank you to paintings... They threw the nutrition at me simply by fact there replaced into no money with it... Oh nicely no stable deed is going unpunished ! So, i ended that to boot... existence is what you're making of it. My husband and that i paintings simply by fact we go with to no longer be homeless. we've labored 2 jobs each and every so as that we are in a position to shield our famiy.. You the two roll with existence or it rolls over you.. If all and sundry stopped giving money to the homeless the streets does no longer be packed with homeless human beings begging... they might might desire to do something else with their time like consistent with hazard working ! even although, that's unlikely to ensue.. additionally, many homeless human beings have "psychological issues" and could be decrease than scientific care yet, giving them money can't remedy something.. consistent with hazard, donating a while to volunteer at a soup kitchen, outfits force or different charitable reason is plenty extra clever than giving "spare" substitute on the streets.. I provide outfits, bedding, towels etc.. to charity each and every twelve months..

If I can help them, I will. It is very sad to see. And I wonder if they have family or are they all alone in the world.
