you just have to tell them and make sure they know you have made a solid decision. this was your choice and not theirs so it will be up to them if they want you to go on good or bad terms... but im sure they love you and want you to be happy... so be sure to tell them you love them!

Call them from the airport or when you're already there so they won't be able to talk you out of it.
If you don't want to do that, write a letter to them. In the letter, let them know all the reasons you want to see him and what he means to you. Say that you hope they understand how you feel. And, though not necessary, you would greatly appreciate their support and best wishes for happiness.

I have a creative way for you to do this that is guarenteed!
Sit them down & say, Mom, Dad... I'm pregnant.
Give them 30 seconds to absorb the shock.... then say "Just kidding"... By the way, i'm flying out to KY to meet my new B/F.
They will be so freakin' happy you're not preggers that they will send you off to KY with a smile & a crisp $100.00 bill in your purse...

Just tell them open and honestly--they will worry they will try and talk you out of it........Maybe he could fly to see you first and meet them.

openly and honestly..you're over 18 so if they get mad they get mad they'll get over it, if not they'll be missing out..I doubt if they would want to do that! just be an adult and just tell them it's something you want to do and are going to do. take care and have fun - enjoy life!
