Not the whole list, but its a start. The women of the middle ages had a narrow role in the world, I am not suggesting it was right for it to be that way.

The book was really written just for herself. The publishers decided it was for young adults. It's mostly about their relationship which is made more complicated because he is a vampire. I don't ever like vampire books or movies, but this was different. I would never say it is a great piece of literary perfection, but it's a good story, so you can overlook some things in the writing. I suggest watching the movie first if you are unsure you want to read the whole book. I wasn't interested in the book or movie at all, then I randomly ended up watching the movie, and I really liked it. So I started reading the books, and couldn't put them down.
