I would have to say the musicianship of the Black Crowes is the best, but the song arrangements of Oasis are pretty darn good too. In reality, these bands are completely different musical styles, but in my opinion, "Hard to Handle" rocks better than "Wonderwall". Thats a given....

The Beatles thing is just an automatic response from people who don't know Oasis' music that well. If they try too hard to be the Beatles, the Black Crowes try too hard to be Led Zeppelin.
They're very similar in a lot of ways, I love them both, but the x factor is that what Chris Robinson does on stage and the way he sings is too pretentious to get into all the way. Liam beats him on charisma and rock star cool. But they are both great bands.

OASIS!!!!!!!!! C'mon on, this band single handedly pulled England out of a recession in the 90s. More hits than you can shake a money maker at (take that Crowes), and some of the most interesting tabloid reading ever! I have seen them numerous times since their inception and once even with the Crowes in LA in 2001. Oasis the best music in a long time and defintely the best thing to come out of England in the 90s. OASIS FAN #1

I can't believe what I'm reading here. The Black Crowes are much better musicians. There is no other criteria by which a band should be judged. Discussion over.
