I have a new dlink router and a linksys usb wireless adapter. When I connect these with my Verizon dsl it works good. But if I connect thru Comcast cable modem it dosent work. I use the same computers with both connections. Do you have any idea?

You will have to change your router from PPOE settings on the WAN / INTERNET setup page to DHCP!

DSL uses ppoe and the cable company will use dhcp if you don't switch the router.. it wont connect. So just login to the dlink (usually at 192.168.0.1) and change that setting.

you need to make sure of the following:

1.) All wires are connected properly
2.) each time you switch ISP's you need to Renew the DHCP

to renew the DHCP you:

open internet explorer
type in 192.168.0.1
admin/[blank] is the default UN/PW

find the option about DHCP or the STATUS tab
Click RENEW DHCP or RENEW IP ADDRESS
This can NOT be done from ipconfig
You have to do this from your router
This should work.
