Everytime I type one letter into a search engine, a list scrolls down to show me everything else i've searched for in the past. How do I turn this off?

If you're using Firefox:

Go to Tools--> Options.

In the dialog box that appears, click the "Privacy" icon.

Click the "Saved Forms" tab.

Uncheck the "Save information...." option. You're good to go after you "ok" your way out.
--------------------------------
If you're using IE:

Go to Tools--> Internet Options

Click the "Content" tab.

Hit the "AutoComplete" button.

Uncheck the "Forms" checkbox in the dialog box that appears.
-------------------------------

If you're using any other browser, the following steps may help:

1. What you need is generally under "Options"

2. What you don't want is generally under "Forms".

Hope this helps.
