You need one DS with a Diamond in it and one with Ranger in it.

Everyone else is right but not entirely or completely. Here are the entire steps.
First you need 2 DSes.
Put Diamond or Pearl into one. Put Ranger in the other. Start both of them up. In "Ranger" - go to Check Egg screen, click on it, click on the "Send message" or "Send a message" button then follow the instructions and make sure to have Diamond or Pearl at the title screen - you know where "Press Start" appears at. "Ranger" will detect the signal from the other DS so press start on the Diamond/Pearl game and it'll go to the menu options - you should see a new option so select it then you'll eventually have to hit a "Transfer" button on "Ranger." Once you do, it'll be sent over to Diamond/Pearl then you'll be done with Ranger so in "Diamond" or "Pearl" - go into any PokéMart and talk to the guy in green and he'll give you the Manaphy Egg.

Ok, borrow a second DS from a friend, then on one open your pokemon diamond, and on the second Poekmon ranger, then I believe in diamond you go to a pokemon amrt to recieve the egg, once you choose hte option on rangfer to transfer it. I BELIEVE. Not sure. Good luck though!
