I always thought that we did really land on the moon. However, after watching recent programs stating that it was actually all a setup I am completely on the fence. I guess I would like to believe that the government didn't lie to us, but the evidence against them is overwhelming. Even with all of this talk of the moon landing being faked, I'll believe that it actually occurred until it is proved otherwise.

Yes, America landed men on the moon. There's one simple fact that cannot be disputed by the doubters. The USA and the USSR were in hot competition to dominate space in the late 60's. When Apollo 11 landed on the moon, the TV, radio, and telemetry signals were available for all to receive and determine the direction of origin. The signals were coming from the moon. If the landing was a hoax, the USSR would have exposed it at the time, to boost their position as a world super power.
Given all the evidence that we were there, it would have been harder to fake it than to actually have gone. Besides, with 100,000 people directly involved, don't you think someone would have admitted a hoax by now?

yes.
no.
When you have more than 2 people involved in a secret, it is no longer a secret. It eventually leaks out.
Faking the Moon landing would have involved over a quarter million people. Plus, who would have gone up to put the retroreflector that is already up there.
There are two retroreflectors on the Moon that are being used for taking distances by laser. They are used by astronomers all over the planet, so it is seen even by people in country who would love to be able to prove that the USA faked it.
Only one of the retroreflector was placed there by the Soviets. The other one is, strangely enough, exactly where the USA says it was put by Apollo program astronauts... Now, that would make the staging a very elaborate one (in order to fake the fact we went to the moon, we have to go to the moon...).

Most likely it was staged at least the pictures and footage shown on TV was a hoax. See a very interesting video on google about this, which says US astronauts might have landed on the moon but live TV footage was a hoax shot in a studio, it has some very high level people saying that like Donald Rumsfield.

It was not staged. Our gov't isn't competent enough for that. All your other questions about the moon landing are answered here. http://www.badastronomy.com

What a stupid question, this has been answered a thousand times, please don't troll. There are reflectors up there, a go-kart and even an american flag. Also don't you think that the USSR would blow the whistle on the whole thing, they'd love to embarrass the US during the Cold War, don't be an idiot.
