I think it's a rude and ignorant name, but maybe by setting a good example we can change minds or make them see a better side?

Frankly, I don't think so even though I thoroughly support the right of free speech: here is my reasoning. 1) Hatred of a group of people based on skin color, etc., has no place in a civilized society (though I imagine this person is just attention seeking) and 2) Yahoo answers is not exactly a forum for free speech. . .it is a community with guidelines (some of which, of course, are stupid but still). The way I figure it, if someone can get booted off of Y!A or have their question deleted for some minor infraction (for example, asking people if they want coffee this morning), then a person with an intentionally offensive name can and should be booted.

I don't know. I believe in free speech. Remember, if all speech was popular, we wouldn't need a 1st Amendment, but I don't think a person with that name should be terribly surprised at the fallout that likely will accompany it.
But then, maybe that was the point.
Reasonable question. I hope my answer was equally so.

I agree! I also didn't like Ms Psychotic getting mad when people were asking tanning bed questions, because she was black and was tan all year. Some people. This is not the place for all that drama!!!

With all due respect to both sides of the argument, I think it should be eliminated as it only promotes hate between ethnicities. It is probably a skinhead's nick.

It's a free country! I don't like it, but I don't feel a need to stop narrowminded hatefulness. Their name could be "I Hate Mike T" for all I care. I rise above it.

Especially if their answers are racially fueled. People are sensitive and easily offended.
