My fiancé and I recently bought a house in Duluth, MN. There is an unused plot of land next to us. From our St Louis County website we found out that the plot (actually two plots) is owned by the State of MN. We are interested in buying this land (a nice little 66 x 110 foot space for a garden and maybe a hammock or two) but we do not know where to go to inquire about doing so. The State of MN website is daunting and confusing, and after an hour and a half of looking around I still have no clue of what to do. Maybe I’m just not seeing it. Perhaps there is a real estate savvy Minnesotan out there that can help us.

Mr. Waslaski appears to be the person in charge of disposition of state owned properties for which the state no longer has use.

Bear in mind that the state may not be interested in selling this property, even though it is vacant. Long range use plans may have an effect on this.
