thats easy, a chevy sports car. come on, thats a little bit funny. I am just kiddin chevy guys and gals, as much as I hate to admit it and wouldnt admit to saying it in person, the new Z06's are an amazing butt kickin vehical. I would think dead battery or you would be getting power somewhere if it were an alternator or starter. I would guess you probelm lies some where with the battery, whether its dead or a connecton has come off, gotten damaged, or is really dirty. I dont know where you live but as summer roles around batteries die as it gets hot. Hopefully its just a battery and you are back on the road for not much coin. good luck.

So little information makes it very difficult to even guess at what's wrong.

For example, was the onset of this problem sudden? Or are you looking at a used car that someone is selling "cheap"?

Was anything done to the engine? Does it idle smoothly? Does it backfire or run rough when it's exhibiting "no power"?

The causes of low power could be anything from mis-adjusted ignition timing, to carburetor/fuel injection problems, of even really stale gasoline.

The parking brake could be on. And if that's the cause of the problem, you should slap yourself for me! :-)

What kind of no power. Do you have no engine cranking power or does engine lack power be specific.

You have to start it up. (grin).

Actually you will notice from the variety of answers that no one here really has a clue.

This is likely because you have not really given us much information to go on.. it could be anything from a flat tire to a missing engine .. (see what I mean?).

maybe the transmission if you put it in drive and nothing happens.
try shifting to a lower gear and see if its pulling when you let off the brake.

just something to consider.
