The movie Blair Witch duplicates a scene from what 70s movie?
The Blair Witch chase through the abandoned dilapidated house in the middle of nowhere ending in the basement duplicates the exact same scene in a movie from the late sixties or early seventies. Saw this movie in reruns on ABC TV afternoon and evening showings but never saw the opening credits. Does anyone remember the movie?
Ginger Snaps was suggested last time but that is from 2000 not the 1970s.

...most interested in knowing what YOU know, with regards to this particular scene; I was always of the impression that the finale of "The Blair Witch Project" emulated the finale of the 1980 film, "Cannibal Holocaust"; which took place in the jungle, instead of a house in the woods, and dealt with cannibals, rather than witches. Indeed, a large percentage of "Blair..." seems all-too coincidentely inspired by "Cannibal..."
