YES 1st you have his undivided attention. You can discuss anything you wish with the present holder of most power full office in the free world. Granted at least 1 Secret Service agent will be with him. 2nd I'm a good Samaritan. 3rd excepted for his stance on immigration he has been honorable & thoughtful.

What I'd discuss with him is what it will take to change the economics of Renewable Energy. After just coming in from freezing his tush off he might be interested. Neither side of the political aisle has been so far. They are of the illusion that at some point it will be directly economically viable.

Sure I would. Then I would try to have a calm conversation about all the wrong things I think he has done wrong since he's been in office.
I would really like to know the true reason that he took us into Iraq. And why he refuses to pull our troops out of that mess..

Tough call - the humanitarian in me wants to, but saving him would just give him the opportunity to cause more damage. Would you pick up Hitler, Pol Pot, Osama, Mussolini or any other evil bastard?

I'd have to say thumbs down for the good of the world.

I'd even give you a ride even though you may not deserve it.

Not only would I stop and give him a ride but I'd buy him dinner and put him up somewhere for the night.

People should start thinking for themselves and stop letting MTV and CNN think for them. Stop and look around at what he's accomplished. I know that war is terrible and I don't like the possibility that the friends I have over there may not come back but everyone I've talked to who's come back from Iraq and Afganistan says the same exact thing: We are doing the right thing, this war was the right thing to do. The problem is the media is so anti-Bush anything, that they're not going to show the human interest side of the war, all the good humanitarian works being done. Hussein was an evil man, the worst the world has seen since Hitler. The liberation of Irag and its people from this monster is something that needed to be done.

And for the nay-sayers who bring up the death toll and what it has cost - keep this in mind:

Total death rate of the Vietnam war: 58,148
Total death rate of the Iraq war: 3,720 (3,467 US, 149 UK, 127 other). in four years.

Between Detroit and our nation's capital, more people are killed violently per 100,000 than soilders lost in Iraq. And for all the lives lost in this conflict, think about how many lives have been saved from the rape, torture, and murder that Hussein, his sons, and his regime had inflicted upon the people of Irag for the past 40 years and how much more damage would have been done if we hadn't stepped in.

For those who wonder why we are still there and will not pull out... try reading a history book, in particular German history between the fall of Germany after WWI and the rise of Hitler leading to WWII. Germany was left in shambles with no direction to go which paved the way for Hitler and his fascists to rise to power and therefore murder 6 million defenseless Jews, Poles, Russians, Gypsies, Slovacs, etc, etc. Not to mention the most horrendous, ravenous, and devestating war the world has ever known. What Bush is doing now is trying to avoid this brand of tyrant to rise again and to make sure that Irag is stable and independent in order to avoid another Hussein from taking power as soon as our backs are turned. "If you forget the past you are doomed to repeat it."

I'm trying to understand how people still blame Bush for the Katrina travesty. Hey Louisiana, if you want someone to blame start looking in the mirror because you're the ones who elected the state officials who ignored the advice of the army's corp of engineers that told you the city New Orleans would not withstand a hurricane like Katrina two years before it happened! New Orleans - blame the city officials and governor that used the money allicated by the federal government to repair the levees and used it to renovate the Super Dome instead. And for those who claim that the response was complete bumbled by the federal governemt try this fact: "The response to Hurricane Katrina was by far the largest - and fastest - rescue effort in U.S. history, with nearly 100,000 emergency personnel arriving on the scene within three days of the storm's landfall" - Popular Mechanics magazine March 2006 "Debunking Katrina Myths" Once again if you want anyone to blame, blame the officials you elected in your own state who ignored all the warnings, and wasted all outside monetary contributions. On no level was this Bush's fault; you should probably be thanking him instead of condemning.

For people who fault his immigration policy - it's a damn site better than what anybody else has come up with. It addresses the problems the country has faced since the 60's: tax money spent on illegals who pay no taxes and illegals who commit crimes and are outside the reaches of the law. I have no problem with anyone coming here to make a better life for themselves or their families. But do it the right way, learn the language (ENGLISH), become citizens, get jobs and PAY TAXES LIKE THE REST OF US! I'm tired of the hand-outs, I'm tired of the special treatment, and I'm tired of turning on the news to another violent crime commited by someone who is here illegally and cannot be prosecuted. I'm tired of calling my bank, or credit card company, or the city's utilities department, and having to choose English or Spanish! Something has to be done and if you'll actually read Bush's proposal you'll see that its the best, well rounded proposal to date - no stupid fence that covers half the border. It gives a chance for aliens to stay and obtain legal status. As well as a chance for our government to weed out undesireables such as CRIMINALS!

The tax situation - there will always be somebody complaining about taxes - but I'm pretty much the poster child for the lower-middle class and the most prosperous I have ever been in my life is during his administration. The economy is thriving across the board no matter what the Dems would have you think.

And healthcare is not the responsibility of the government! It is the responsibility of the individual! The moment you start leaning on the government to provide, is the moment they start trying to dictate your lives. Social healthcare doesn't work. You think Canada has a great system? Talk to somebody who actually uses it. There is a three year waiting list for surgerys that are not life critical (i.e. emergency triple bi-pass). Their doctors flee to our country in droves because they can't even pay off student loans with what they make so who is that leaving behind? And the same is true for the social healthcare plans of Europe. And on top of that these countries are pay up to 65% of their income to taxes to pay for it all!!!

The Democrats like to preach of social programs and fair treatment for all but is it really fair to take away from those who have (because they've earned it) and give to those who have not? Is it fair to dictate to one group for the sake of another group? Our government was based upon the liberty of all and the guaranteed right to the pursuit of happiness. THE PURSUIT not the aquisition! That means you are free to work as hard as you want to obtain the things you want and no one can stand in your way. No where does it guarantee your happiness, that's your responsibility and if you're not happy it's you responsibility to do something about it and no one elses. There are no free rides, socialism is the white wash of government oppression and control. The only types of socialism that have ever worked are communism and facism. I don't particularly care for either.

Be careful of what you ask for and from who you ask it...
