Every single living being on Mother Earth is a soul atman on its cosmic journey. Ever since the big bang occurred... all souls atmans in the cosmic system are again and again manifesting different forms of life until they reach the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation! It is only then they gain permanent release from the cycle of birth and death forever.
We exist because the big bang happened. In absence of big bang... there would no Cosmos. And what is the big bang? When the dissolution of the old cosmos occurs... all souls atmans in the Cosmos reach the 8.4 millionth manifestation. Having regained their original pure pristine form... the cluster of all purified souls atmans combine together to form the size of half a thumb! This half a thumb... pristine primordial pure energy is what we know as God Almighty... the cluster of all purified souls atmans in the Cosmos at a given point of time.
The moment human beings reach last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation... one reaches the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and then salvation (moksha). This is the end crux of life. Every soul atman on its cosmic journey initially manifests the form of an amoeba (single cell formation), then evolves into multi cell formation, insect life, plant life, animal life and finally the form of a human being. It is only as a human being the soul atman within gains liberation from the Samsara (worldly life).
Yes, we do have company in the Cosmos. There are millions and millions of life supporting planets all over the Cosmos but none from one life supporting planet can visit another life supporting planet. Human beings have traveled a distance of about 400,000 kilometers into space (the journey to the moon). Traveling by the speed of light it would take approximately one and half second to reach moon (it seems almost impossible that man would ever be able to travel at the speed of light). What of life supporting planets trillions of kilometers away? More on why god made this world - http://www.godrealized.org/why_god_made_this_world.html

That is an brilliant question. I have a theory that there are other life forms on other planets out there somewhere. They might be in the form of a tiny one - cell amoeba or a complex organism, more complicated than us humans. I also have another theory which links to this. What if humans descended from "aliens"? The theory of evolution states that humans evolved from animals on this planets, but I still feel that there is something missing from this teory: if we descended from the apes and monkeys - why are they still here? Also, every organism is superior in it's own way, e.g. a fish can swim and breathe underwater, and a cheetar can run really fast, and a snake is camouflaged. But what sets us apart from all these creatures? We humans have the amazing ability to develop our own minds, and to build tools, equipment, technology, so we don't need the special adaptations of other creatures. We can build anything and do anything. Planes instead of being a bird. Boats instead of being a fish. Knives instead of sharp teeth. Vehicles instead of fast feet. Space travel instead of - what? The missing link.

We are individual creations, who have part of the Creator in each of us. We have freewill to do whatever we want as we are responsible for our actions.
The Earth is a training ground for us to learn, grow and develop as individuals into the best person we can be.
The Creator does not judge us as we will judge ourselves when this physical body dies and the spirit goes back to the Creator.
We may come back many times until the spirit that is unique to us has reached the level the Creator wants it to be.
Are there others in this galaxy? There will be plenty of spirit beings doing whatever it is that spirit beings do, but other physical creature I don't know. Part of me would love to meet people from other planets, but the logical part says, why would there be, especially if we are being trained to help run the universe at some future date. At that time other creatures may be developed so we can then help them grow and develop.

I find it pretty hard to believe that we are the only ones in this galaxy let alone the universe. Why would we need the whole universe if we only see and live on Earth?

The question is exactly what the pupose of life is.....TO FIND OUT. We are not alone in the galaxy. Anyone who thinks we are is fooling themselves. There are billions of suns and multiple billions of planets orbiting these suns. This is in our neighborhood. Just think about all the other neighborhoods. On top of that, there are other dimesions of which we know little about. On top of that, there are other universes. We are not alone!

It is foolish to think we are alone in this universe. There are millions of sons, solar systems and satellites. There may be several Earths also. There must be life somewhere other than on Earth. They may or may not be similar to us.There may be living organisams which may not require water.Life there may be totally different. What we say is like fish under sea saying that "there cannot be life outside sea".
Ancient Hindu scriptures say there are 14 worlds in which human or similar life exists. These races are called Yaksha.Kinnara,Gandharwas and Kimpurushas etc.Gandharwas are deathless and their number is constant. They donot have females.Kimpurusha closely resemble men,but not as intelligent as men.Others are super intelligent and invisible to man!

We are what we love (interests, passions etc.).
We are an evolving consciousness, a part of the lifeforce, embedded in a multi-dimensional field or gel, sometimes in a visible lifeform, sometimes not depending on our stage of evolution and awareness of being.
The next life experience is dependent on where we are at the end of this one. If we are remorseful we will migrate to another situation that reinforces that belief, it we are open and at peace at the time of death we will find ourselves in another such experience.

I know that we are all individuals and we are all heading in differant paths. But I don't know what we are becoming. You just have to follow you heart and go where it takes you. life is a hard journey but the destination is great.
I hope this helps :)
(by the way i'm only 11!)
