I have a PC and would love to install windows Vista but was told that I do need to have a ram size of up to 1 GB, my RAM currently is about 896 MB. Is there a way I can have the size increased to IGB or more for free. Please I would like to hear from an expert on this issue. Thanks for your time.

You cannot increase your RAM for free unless someone gives you a 1 gig memory module to put in your computer. I would hesitate to upgrade to vista as it is currently going thru multiple issues.

You already have 1GB of memory, just part of it are used for your video memory, so if the rest of the computer meets the Vista spec, you can install Vista.

Word of warning, I seen so many like you who are technology chasing, but end up in tears, Vista is nothing more than XP with fancy graphics and in doing so, created a huge and heavy system that more powerful hardware are needed just to do the same as XP
