Or sometimes not even pretty girls... but I see it mostly with pretty girls... I make like two freaking typos and suddenly I'm some bimbo... when half of the people on this site tyPe Like ThIs.!?... I might not always spell properly... because I'm typing too fast... but at least I use proper grammer. It's not fair that just because you make one mistake, you're instantly an idiot.
Especially, the pretty girls. If you're homely looking with glasses and plain hair, suddenly you're supposed to have brains and go to Stanford... it's not fair.

thats the time we live in sweetie dont take it personaly, people are very quick to judge, no one really cares about anyone else's feelings. you gotta get your sheild on and walk right over the tops of those people that are labeling or belittleing you for dumb little things like typos. i hope it isnt about looks, but i can agree with what you say. people think im an un-educated fool everyday becuase im a diesel mechanic and i get dirty everyday, i make about 55k a year so i must not be too bright. who cares what they think, and does it really matter at all if you and i can type perfectly or not? especialy to the critics out there who you will never have a conversation with or meet face to face. dont give them so much of your time.

I think it's because many pretty girls rely solely on their looks to get ahead. Unfortunately, people tend to generalize once they see a trend. You see these gorgeous actresses and models, who obviously have gotten ahead in life due to their looks, and then they speak out on some scientific or social problem without thinking about it at all. They get a lot of exposure and I think it reinforces that stereotype.
It's obvious from your typing that you're intelligent and if people called you stupid because of a typo, then I think it shows that they are both judgmental and stupid themselves. A lot of times, people focus on things like typos because there is no substance to their thoughts/arguments. Maybe that's why you were attacked?
But just look at that argument the other day on The View and you'll see an example of just the opposite. Rosy O'Donnell, who looks like she fell out of an ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, came off like a blithering idiot. At the same time, Elisabeth Hasselbeck (who is smokin' hot) kept her cool, brought up valid points, would not be bullied, and pointed out the hypocrisy and flaws in logic of Rosy's statements. Elisabeth scored a victory for pretty girls everywhere!

It's called stereotyping, and it's not right... people instantly assume pretty girls are not very bright, so they make fun of them, and they instantly assume the plain looking girls are smart...

The way I see it, one's appearance has nothing to do with it. Ugly or pretty, people still get made fun of. From what I can tell, though, people seem to be much nicer to pretty girls than ugly girls.
