Ok first of all real magic does exist. However it is much more subtle than Harry Potter and wands and broomsticks are not involved.
And as for using magic against someone-that is black magic and very dangerous to do.I am serious-using that kind of magic can cost you more than you could ever imagine.
If you want to learn magic your best to learn from someone experienced in it's use.If anyone offers to teach you how to hurt others with magic though find another teacher!
Magic takes time to master. It can have a great deal of power but you won't find anyone who will tell you how to work a powerful spell on here-they are dangerous to newbies.

Some believe magic exists, yes. I personally know Christians who believe magic exists, and that witches can use it. I can remember a situation not too long ago where one of the Christians had moved to an area with a large coven, but it was unknown to them until they moved in. They became paranoid that the 'witches' in the area were putting things (like a yellow paste) on their car or property. They thought it was magic spells and that they had moved into a demonic hotbed. The other Christians I know were panicking about it, praying with them constantly and advising them to move. Eventually this person did move from the area, at a large financial loss. My parents are the same way. I can remember visiting them and showing them the Criss Angel show. He did a trick and my mom says "How did he do that!" my dad says "It's demonic. He's using demonic forces." He said it in such a matter-of-fact way that I couldn't help but burst out laughing :P It's sleight of hand, camera angles, editting etc... it's not real. If magic was real people would be using it for more than making a quarter vanish. Unfortunately, mentioning that to Christians who believe magic is real doesn't alter their opinion.

I've seen a lot of stuff. I've neer seen the kind of magic your talking about. I've never seen a flying broomstick etc. I actually son't doubt that it's possible, just that it's not the kind of thing your going to find one answers.
Also, if someone had that sort of information - they wouldn't just give it to you. You'd have to be an apprentice and get used to it. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and the spells that would be needed to do those would require you to read greek, latin - be very educated.
Start with "The Golden Bow" and some magic theory. Hermes the thrice great - look that up, too.
Myths only prove that Ancient people were imaginative, too. And they they misunderstood science.
It takes a very long time to become a mage. Years of study and dedication - lots of ritual and personal cleanlilness. If you want to learn, find a hermetic (there are some out there) and learn from them.

Oooh, crikey. No, it doesn't. Not in any meaningful or useful way. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't work.
If you encounter someone (like some of the other answerers here) who believes in it, then you can work wonders. And the more subtle stuff is really just basic psychology and the like. Which doesn't mean it's rubbish.
I have a simple test for anyone who claims to exhibit magickqqqal powers. It's called The Fist Test. I raise my arm and make a fist, then invite them to use and and all of their powers to prevent me from punching them in the face. I fully accept responsibility for any and all bad stuff that happens to me as a result. There haven't been many willing to submit to the test and all that have, have failed. Odd that.
The magick believers will tell you that my test is just silly and specious and explain that magiqkkc is so much more subtle than that and because it's so dangerous, it cannot be used for stupid tests like mine. They have a point. But quite honestly, if the most powerful magic user in the world can't stop me bopping them on the nose, then I'm just not interested in devoting my life to learning their magical ways. Especially when I can performs greater magical feats with plain intelligence and a bit of learning.
PS To be super uber cool in the magic community, you need to spell it really oddly. The term "magick" was the one used by Aleister Crowley in Thelema system. And he's like way cool, so if you spell it like him, then you're totally bitchen. Try adding a second K and you'll be all double-Crowley or something. Beware though, as "magiq" is a multi-criteria decision analysis technique. Only Paul Daniels spells it "magic"

Yes, real magick exists, as others have stated. It however is NOTHING like the fiction out there. Real magick cannot turn a stick into a snake; that's nothing more than slight of hand, so if that's all you're are interested in, go see a magic show.

Magick does exit. It is inherent in the energy of the universe. Some people decide to develop their connection with this kind of energy.
Harry Potter magic doesn't exist - that's something that makes for good reading. Most of what Rowling did was mangle Latin words and develop on halloween folklore about what a witch is. It makes for decent reading but it's fiction.
The best spells are the ones you develop yourself because they are more personal. I suggest you do a lot of reading, research and meditation on what you want to accomplish.

Yes, Magick does exist. It is all around you, it IS you. What magick does is takes the elements and you ask the elements to do your bidding...with this bidding comes a cost though. What ever you send out will come back three times over...which is why you should only control what is truly YOURS...because if you try to control other (even if your INTENTIONS are good) others will try to control you in the end.
Magic like in Harry Potter doesn't exist unless of course you are talking about being possessed, which isn't advisable for anyone to be!

When I was in grad school I had a psychology professor who was a firm believer in sympathetic magic. Sympathetic magic, also known as imitative magic, is a type of magic based on imitation or correspondence. Imitation involves using effigies to affect the environment of people, or occasionally people themselves. Correspondence is based on the idea that one can influence something based on its relationship to another thing.
This guy was a student of Jungian psychology, and he was able to demonstrate some aspects of sympathetic magic in class.

Oh, dear.
Yes, magic exists. No, it's not like "Harry Potter" or "Charmed" or even "The Craft."
When I keep a bowl of change around to keep the hausvaettir from hiding my car keys . . . and my car keys NEVER go missing anymore after that . . . is it coincidence, or magic? When I trace a healing rune on a sick child's forehead, and her fever breaks . . . is it coincidence, or magic?
All experience is subjective.

Dear RontzyX,
whats there not to believe in this. Like all other subjects of study, Even magic is a stream of its own and one needs to constantly engage/study and practice it.
It is a tool, and you can use it for good and bad. use it for good.
Many of our ancestors were powerful magicians, but now skills have come down to some small spells etc.
never the less, you can learn what you want and as much as you want. First step is to learn energy transformation and channeling and pointing of your energy. If your mind is strong , you don't need object assistance like wands and brooms. But else, you will need these to get your concentration up and running.
But the basic for you follows , if you want to develop harry potter and that kind of magic, which can as of now only be imagined.
1.) Normal human brain when a person i\s active and awake works in beta mode or higher. a person with continous beta mode operation is a very pleasant person, not at all tensed and very stable minded.
and when u are in deep sleep, you brain works with alpha or delta signals.
but you have to bring your brain and make it to work in alpha, even when you are awake and active. remove anxiety, remove tensions, remove desires and all scrap and you can make it.
There are exercises for this and very well defined procedures. All these deals basically, with using your mind to control your brains working, but this requires of mind tuning itself before.
the first and crudest step is to reduce breathing speed and don't enjoy through any of your senses ( means like eat food, not for taste, just to fill your stomach)
2.) Next step deals with opening energy centers of you body. This cannot be discussed here in this small space with any details. If you need more information, Just shoot me a mail and i will tell you what ever little things i know.
once your energy centers is opened, you can start receiving and/or absorbing energy ( never absorb energy, it is bad only receive it form the source)
further step is to channel or give direction and define action of the directed energy. At this stage you will be able to do most of the magic you can imagine. Though not all.
material transformation and energy conversions and tele portation etc need something special.
Anyone interested, let me know i will provide whatever knowledge i have. I have always wanted to practice, but it needs lot of dedication and i have too many things to take care of, and dint want to deviate form my daily chores. So dint use it, so whoever is interested, i want atleast them to use this.
And yes this is harry potter or similar kind of magic which is only imagined today . What i am definite of is atleast you can easily learn levitation and object control.
Hope you have got a overview about this.
Regards,
