My Mother Died about 12 weeks ago. We were pretty close. Lately I have been struggling to find out what this all means. Why the hell are we here and what are we supposed to be doing?

Hi, I am so sad for your loss. My father turned 71 today and he is pretty overweight. I wonder how I will cope when his time comes. It's scary because my mother is from Japan and talked about committing suicide when he dies. She is very dependent on him.
My mind has been open to realizing the soul goes on and the body is just a shell. It's like we are here, to realize all we see is a delusion. It's full of pleasure and pain. There's some peace and connect that meditators feel, especially kriya yoga tradtion (like Paramahansa Yogananda's teachings through SRF).
I think we're here to realize our imortality, to realize we go on, though we eventually shed our bodies. And to ralize that while on Earth, we mustn't take it too serious, but must do the best with what we have to create the lives we want.
I the deepest stages of meditation, with practice, devotion grows, after the restlessness, and you will feel this underlying vibration, Bliss, of all creation. You will feel that Oneness that links you to her Spirit.
I made an inspirational MindMovie. If it inspires, watch it regularly. If not, consider making one, or even a collage, that will inspire you.
Mourn and let your feelings out. But also feed your soul that which inspires.

first off I am so sorry about your mother...
& one thing about life we have to learn is that we are mortal beings it will eventually happen to all of us..however sometimes when we do think we have things figured out something such as death comes along & ruins everthing for us...& it seems like we have to start all over again, back to square one, trying to figure things out...
I like to read a lot of philosophy/life type stuff because it helps you to realize & come to terms with some questions & things you never really figured out yourself..
