It's probably the same, but for different reasons.
For men, there can be a sense of power or "manhood" that comes from seducing woman after woman. Men tend also to enjoy the "thrill" of sneaking around.
For women, it may create a sense of security to know that she is still attractive, especially as she gets older. Women are also more likely to cheat to fulfill some missing element in their marraige.

I don't believe there are any "Stats" on this, besides, if anything, I'd say it's prolly equal all the way around! And not this, "More guys cheat than women", and Vice-Versa!
I don't think anyone knows unless people like to take these polls on stuff with "the like".
