i dont get why a man, or should i say boy, has to hit a female!! a friend of mine told me her boyfriend hit her and she had to get stiches the other night!! she has 2 gorgeous children but an abussive boyfriend....she did call the cops and they took him in but my question is why or what would make a man hit a woman??

I don't hit women nor do I believe in hitting women so I honestly wouldn't know. A man who hits a woman really isn't a man at all. He's a boy. Men like that feel the need to be in control and will do it by any means necessary even if it means hitting women. To me that's just pathetic.

Unfortunately, there are men out there who feel the need to be superior over someone and the best way these demented people feel like doing it is to try to gain a physical prowess over a weaker opponent. They think their self esteem increases but in actuality it will decrease over time . Their obvious lack of confidence on who they are has been shattered and they blame the nearest person or thing around them as a pretext to believing there are mastering the difficulty. In other words we will say their boss is a woman and he comes home to a woman . He cannot struck the woman boss so he substitutes in a very wrong manner the individual he would can confront.The way he handled it shows he is not in control because of the misplacement of his actions . There might be something deep inside that must come out because the action is likely to continue if not approached and solved.

Thats stupid don't generalize it i should beat the $hit out of you. UM wait I didn't mean that. Well some guys are just stupid when they get into a rage. They loose it man. I have actually heard some guys say that woman like that. The more they treat their woman like $hit the more they will stay. I say some woman are stupid for putting up with it.

Well, self esteem could be a factor. Also, not being raised with a father. Then again He could have had a father that beat him and his mother, so in his mind it would be alright.
I don't see any reason to raise a hand to anyone. I was raised in a loving family and it baffles me to see relationships like this.
Another question would be: What would make a woman stay with a man who hit her? Your friend needs to get out of that relationship.

That is a question I cannot answer, as I never had the inclination to strike a woman... I would imagine it is a very sick, diseased mind that would get satisfaction from it.

that is a sticky thing, i think it suxks, i've been hit, but on the other hand
some women push it to the limit and beyond if they think a good guy won't hit them, thats not right either
