Walk, walk and walk.
The more activity you can tolerate, the better your labor and delivery will go, not to mention that even if you don't get into active labor, you will definitely sleep better at night.

i completly know how you feel!!! they say it gets faster with each birth. Im setting a new record with this one (number5)!!! I only carried the others from 35-36 weeks. Im now 36 weeks and 4 days and still im only dialated a "fingertip" and im 80% effaced. no more change then that, and he thinks ill last at least another week LOL. i cant wait to be done with all of this! I want a healthy baby but 37 weeks is healthy. Try caster oil. Im thinking i will try that once i hit 37 weeks! Ive heard bad stories but ive also heard good. Worth a try right! Goodluck!!!

This is something that you need to discuss with your doctor. There is a lot of home remedies but forcing your labor isnt natural or safe.

Not to be rude - but this is your fourth - you should know how to get it going.
Walk - have sex, or just wait it out - if you are that far - it won't be too long on its own.

I agree with catmadam. Your body isn't ready. Don't rush it along.

I walked and walked and walked til I couldn't walk any more. I worked both x's. GOOD LUCK.
