I agree with you Dan they should be treated like regular everyday people . I would also Iike to add anyone with a great deal of money , I say that because all to often those that have it can buy their own justice and get away with virtually anything . I knew a guy I went to school with that robbed a gas station and maced the attendant . His parents were well to do and spent several thousand and all he got was 30 days in jail and was released daily to go to work , to me that's crazy someone could have gotten killed , either him had the attendant had a gun or the police could have shot him . There are people whom have spent 20 years in prison for such crimes and it isn't fair if you can buy your way out for the right price . Very good and fair question you have posed .

They should be treated like regular people-things like that and these examples below are difficult to explain to children.

There is also another one that i couldnt find where a girl films two of her classmates gyrating on a substitute teacher. they are not punished but she is for having a camera at school which is against the rules. apparently lewd behavior is!
I personally think more people should have been outraged by both of these. I mean seriously a man robs a bank WITH A LOADED GUN and gets a job and housing. A substitute teacher trying to conduct class is gyrated on by two students and the student who films this is the one who is chastised. Where do we draw the line in our nonexistent sand?
Fortunately for me my widowed mother always made sure that our examples of good people were gainfully employed and/or studious, earning degrees and caring for their families. We never considered athletes, celebrities, and/or entertainers as role models just as athletes, celebrities, and/or entertainers.

Yes they should. The most recent example is Paris Hilton. She got 45 days in jail for violating her probation while driving. But shes had numerous traffic violations before and is just now serving a jail sentence. And 45 days is not very long. My brother in law once violated his probation and he got 90 days in jail. If any regular civilians were to do what she has done we would have already been in and out of jail several times. Its not very fair but theres really nothing that can be done. Money talks.

Oh yes. They are no different from the rest of us, and when they break the law, they should suffer the same consequences.
