It is important to have secrecy today. A government can not afford leaking information to potential terrorists and others who seek to destroy our country. Is the administration secretive? Sure. But it is needed to keep you safe.

Yes it is, they will classify anything, regardless of national security implications, to keep everyone in the dark of the real machinations of the administration...they've gone so far as to pull back info that was already in the public arena...but as long as they keep the idiot masses scared, they will illegally continue this pattern of lies and deception and set precedent for the next generation of presidents to do the same regardless of party

Not hardly!!! I don't care what the liberals say, look back into the history of some of the other administrations and you will see worse! I'd say Nixon and Kennedy right off hand, and while Clinton wasn't secretive I think he thought he was.

Yes - with no other adminstration even coming close. What's interesting to me is how they've made our lives an open book via the PATRIOT Act, and closed their doors and drapes to any scrutiny. All under the guise of our "security." Scary, huh?

by far. GWB has even gone back and marked some of Bush Sr's stuff as "top secret". And this is not about the war on terror or in Iraq. It is about being paranoid or doing something they shouldn't be doing.

This administration has classified more information than any other administration. They classify documents that have nothing to do with our nation's security and everything to do with their shady practices.
