Yes. I know a guy who had a testicular torsion, which is a medical issue where the testicle twists on the spermatic cord, and it basically cuts off its own blood supply and dies.

This happened to him when he was 15, and he says it was the most painful thing in his life. They tried surgury to repair it, but it didn't work and they had to remove it.

He's been offered a prosthetic one so he looks normal, but he figures "who's going to see it?"

I was born with one testicle, and my other testicle was in my stomach. I had sugury to bring it down to my scrodum when I was 5. (now 34)

Yes, I do. One was lost to testicular cancer about 20 years ago. He now has two children and a beautiful wife. I should mention he was 27 at the time the cancer was discovered.

Strangely enough, I know 2 of them. One was born that way, the other suffered from the loss due to complications brought on by surgery on a hernia. Both are fathers, both have red hair, and both have sons! Odd, huh?!

I think Lance Armostrong, but I'm not sure. I know he had testicular cancer and usually they remove the whole testicle(s) with the cancer.

Yeah, When I was in the corps, there was a guy named Brian who told me he only had one. Said it almost kept him out of the corps. That was back in 1992, don't recall how he said it happened.
