In my book Vince Young...but you are correct there are other variables that factor into what happens.
Could these guys have gone to any worse of an organization respectively?
These are two of the worst owners in the NFL and neither knows how to run an organization.
With that said, I believe Vince can do more with less...he is the main reason the Longhorns won the National Title when they did as you could argue that Matt and USC had more talent, but ultimately it was Vince and his leadership as a QB that put the game away!!!
Vince has lifted a team in the Titans that were going nowhere fast. Arguably they are one of the worst teams in the league, but Vince finds a way to will his team to victories...If Jeff Fischer can develop some talent around Vince, we may see a run with regards to Titles like we have never seen before.
Matt is a good QB, but I don't believe he will ever be better than an average QB in this league...I see him looking a bit like Steve Walsh back in the 90's...Of course he could follow the Vinney Testerverde or Drew Bledsoe career path...
Time will tell, but my money is on Vince!!!

My vote goes to Matt Leinhart. Leinhart was an experienced college quarterback who has proven that he can win on the big stage. Plus I think Leinhart is better set up to succeed- he gets to throw to two of the best receivers in the game, Boldin and Fitzgerald, and hand off to a potential future Hall of Famer in Edgerrin James. That's going to make his job easier.
Don't take this as a knock against Vince Young. Young is a phenomenally gifted athlete with proven leadership skills. Last year he lead the Titans to a great run down the stretch with very little help from his supporting staff. If the Titans have some good drafts and surround Young with a quality starting tailback and some good receivers I could see myself being wrong about my choice.

Good question:
Leinhart is damn good - especially considering the WR's he has, a new stadium and a decent defense - these are the ingredients for building a great team.
Young - Has great abilities , and a better team now - but its important to note that every single "scrambling" NFL QB peaks early in their careers - Vick is a great example, though Young has 10 times the arm and skill to select a reciever.
So, due to one being a pure drop back passer and the other a scrambling passer in the NFL - I'd say Leinhart.
Full Disclosure - I am an ND fan still crying...

Statistically Leinhart, he just has SO VERY MUCH MORE to work with. Realistically Young, he'll win more and do more with MUCH LESS. Leinhart was overrated from the start and Young earned his status in the NFL, so Vince Young to me beats him in 5 then again in 10 and again 15 and again to the Hall of Fame, barring any major injuries.

Vince Young (so what if his throwing motion is a little weird, he still has more power and accuracy than Leinhart)

Matt Leinart will be on the cusp of a Super Bowl and Vince Young will be out of football because he kept getting injured from his run first mentality.

Lienhart. His best case scenario is Montana, Marino, Brady, or P.Manning. Young's best case scenario is Cunningham, McNabb, Vick, Tarkenton, and Grogan (who dat?:))
That second group is good, but a step lower.
Of course Young can reach is full potential and Leinhart may end up aspiring to Tim Couch.:)
