If you are looking for low cost, try Wal-Mart for patterns. They are 50% off the marked price every day. JoAnns sometimes has sales on different pattern groups (McCalls, Simplicity, etc.) for 99 cents each every once in a while.

The patterns themselves come with paper templates that you cut out and written instructions.

There was a question here a while ago asking how to turn an old pair of jeans into a bag by cutting off the legs and sewing up the holes. If you do a search "make bag from jeans" it should come up

Go to any store that sells craft patterns or any kind of pattern they will have ones for purses and bags. I have friends who buy them alot, make and resell them. They are fairly easy to do

good luck

There are lots of patterns, and if there is a Jo-Anns near you, the patterns are as low as 99cents.
