No he's not headed anywhere else. Realize 1) he's under contract and 2) it more more of a statement from him regarding the lack of moves the lakers have made since re-signing him. They "almost" got Kevin Garnett, almost got Jason Kidd, almost got Ron Artest, etc, etc. He's upset and he's using his influence as a way to pressure the general manager and owner to make some moves and to spend a little money. Kobe realizes that with his team right now he can make the playoffs but lose in the first round to a much more talented teams. He wants the Lakers to do something about it NOW! He's now 29, I believe, and if the lakers were going to make a run with him they need to start putting the puzzle pieces behind him. Realize that Kobe is un-touchable meaning they are NOT going to trade him, he's the only one on the lakers like that.
Lastly, Stevers you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Lots of teams would be interested in having Kobe, and your "lack of team play" is a huge stretch. He's screwed if he does and screwed if he doesn't. The lakers need him to score and distribute the ball, and he does both. You're likely a Queens fan, and I'm sorry for that. After all if you knew anything about the Lakers you would know that Kobe is un-toucable and honestly we could have had Jason Kidd for Bynum and Walton, they chose not too.

It is important to remember that the Lakers are a business. Trading Kobe for a valuable alternative would prove very difficult given his extremely high price. Salary and incentives put his price around 100 million. League rules state that trades have to be relatively even. So unless Kobe was traded for another star like Lebron James or someone of that caliber, it will most likely be Kobe for 5 or 6 guys. Or Kobe for lets say Tmac and 3 guys. This will be a very diffficult thing to pull off.
Also there is the chance that Kobe is simply making demands in order to wake up the Lakers management. Since the logisitics of trading Kobe are difficult, it is more likely the Lakers would get aggressive about surrounding Kobe with better talent. So in other words. I don't see a trade happening.

Don't look for Kobe to be going anywhere this summer. What you are seeing is Kobe's frustration at the Laker's lack of progress. However his mounting frustration does not mean he will be traded.
First, the Lakers will need to get a player equivalent to Kobe in talent and stature and how many players are there like that that are available? LeBron and Dwayne Wade are the only players equal to Kobe in my opinion and they are not going anywhere. Remember Kobe has been carrying the Lakers since Shaq left. The Lakers are not going to give up their workhorse for a bunch of draft picks and so-so players.
I sympathize with Kobe Bryant. The Lakers' personnel decisions lately have been horrible. Caron Butler for Kwame Brown? Kwame was nothing but a stiff in D.C. Who really thought that he was going to mature into a star player in LA? The refusal to part with Andrew Bynum to get Jason Kidd is equally puzzling. Getting Kidd would have helped the team immediately; Bynum might develop into a decent player but right now seems more likely to become a decent if unspectacular big man( ala Chris Kaman of the Clippers) rather than the next Shaq.

Judging from previous history, on each and every occasion a stable participant is going into the front workplace and says he desires to be traded, he ussually gets what he needs. Kobe Bryant is an incredibly influencial guy up there in l. a., he controlled to convince the l. a. administration to throw away a destiny NBA hall of famer in Shaq. All im asserting is that Kobe Bryant is the biggest , maximum influencial participant in the NBA , and if Kobe desires to flow to a distinctive team he will flow to a distinctive team.Kobe Bryant is a guy it is used to engaged on his own. If he see's the l. a. administration no longer merchandising and marketing him in the close to destiny, I wouldnt positioned it previous him to flow as much as ball golf equipment himself and convince communities that he's the remarkable element for that particular ball club. until now the subsequent season starts off Kobe will now no longer be a laker. i'm a Laker fan and have been considering some achievable scenarioes, Kobe says he desire to flow to chicago appropriate? so shall we are saying that theres a diverse participant commerce between the bulls and the laker inclusive of Kobe. the lakers might probable get luol deng, Isiah thomas and can be waiting to land Kirk Hinrich, counting on who else is going to chicago from the lakers. Paired with a coach like Phill Jackson those adult men may be waiting to win a championship in some years. I dont understand approximately you, yet i might flow and notice that teach.

first of all kobe isnt going anywhere. after all who else do the lakers have and what are you gonna get in return, another 20/10 guy? really if you think about it logically, IF kobe is traded the most logical place would be portland. why? well let me tell you. portland is close enought to smell A he could commute, the blazers will win a championship within 3 seasons, the best young team in the league, the number one pick to play with, and the only team rich enough in draft choices and a 20/10 guy in zach randolph to make the deal. if and only if the lakers trade him and i don't think they will look for kobe to play along side oden, aldridge, roy, and jack. he will probably be the 3 in portland. what a line up though: oden, aldridge, kobe, roy, jack/sergio. thats a championship fo sho!!

1) He is under contract saying that he cannot be traded unless he wants to... well, he wants to.
2) Even though he wants to, no one will have him. He is too much a liability.
3) Kobe makes the team worse by draining all the team chemistry away. Is Kobe going to play a team game elsewhere?
4) Kobe is overrated. Kobe is only like a third-rate basketball player because he doesn't understand that basketball is a TEAM sport. So what if he takes like 60 shots and game and make 20.
So with all those reason, Kobe isn't going to nowhere. The Lakers dug their graves when they refused to trade Kobe or Jason Kidd and Shawn Marion. Kobe is staying whether he likes it or not. No other team can afford Kobe's contract anyway. Why would Kobe take a paycut like Shaq did? Shaq took a pay cut and the Miami Heat won that very year. Kobe needs to be like Shaq.

I think he will be moved. He was already stiring things up over the weekend, and now he hasn't backtracked, he's actually excalated it saying "the Lakers front office lied to me, I want to be traded". It's pretty hard to keep your team together when your star player comes out that clearly. Think he's untradeable? This is what Allen Iverson did earlier this year in Philly. This is what Shaq did 3 years ago. Iverson was the face of Philly longer than Kobe has been the face of LA. When your star player comes out this directly and demands "trade me", you kind of have to. Do you want to keep him around and have your fans boo your star player for not wanting to be there, and have his teammates not want to play with him because he doesn't care about the team anymore?

Well, I guess it's true, look what old GM Buss went out and did ...

P.S. the Lakers should have traded Kobe a long time ago. And if they won't let him go, they are even bigger idiots than the people that kept Chris Webber around Sacramento as long as they did.

Its a question if anyone else wants him and his attitude problems. He needs a dynamic coach to keep him playing team ball. I think the Lakers will trade him if they can get a good deal, they clearly aren't winning with him.
