How do you repair a cracked chimney bottom panel?

Contractor used 2000 degree rated seal to fix the crack, however I'm not sure how long that stuff lasts. Any help is appreciated.

If you had a contractor do the job, it is probably correct. You should have some type of warranty. You could, for peace of mind, call the contractor and ask.

use that stuff thats what i used on my house and it worked awsome it has never cracked let it dry 5 to 10 hours
