I was told be a friend of mine the other day that it is impossible to drink an entire gallon of milk in less than an hour. (Ya, don’t ask me how we got on that subject) He said your body will reject it and cause you to vomit! Now, I have never heard of such a thing and I am wondering if this is BS or if there is scientific proof of this?

I am not sure why your body does this... but I worked at the front desk of a residence hall/dorm my first 2 yrs of college and 5 of the residents decided to try this in the lobby. needless to say they all got sick. I'm not sure if it is the milk or any excess amount of fluid that would do that... but you could always ask your doctor the next time you're there :)

it may even kill you if your not carefull. do you remember that woman who died earlier this year in the radio water drinking contest? she drank nearly 2 gallons of water and died from water intoxication. drinking too much water too fast, faster than the body can remove it. i think she drank 2 gallons in 2 hours. this causes a major disruption in body chemistry for electrolyte levels and pH which are very important to nervous system function.

i can only imagine drinking a gallon of milk in less than an hour would cause huge problems.

It largely depends on your lactose tolerance level; for example, 95% of Asians are lactose intolerant, and many other people have lactose issues. I would also think that that much dairy would mess up the Ph balance in the body, and perhaps cause excess mucus.
