Gmail.......there is nearly unlimited space (over 2,500mb per person & counting), excellent features, and a built in page chat program in Gmail that lets to chat with your contacts right on the same internet page!
I think it's great, and now it's free too!

Gmail: unusually good spam filtering (I wonder how they do it!), opens the world of Google services (I use about 20 of them, counting betas and free websites), very good email search, ability to use email as "online file storage", seems somewhat faster-to-load than others, more friendly to mobile devices, allows email forwarding.

Yahoo is good,
Gmail is also good but a little slow
Rediffmail is also good
Try a few most popular including Hotmail and see which you find good

yahoo is cool for the Q and A session which is quite cool and mail
