I had been off birth control for a while, and recently I realized that I would have my period for the week that I was on vacation. I started a pack of pills right in the middle of my cycle because I thought it would make me skip my period. Well, it didn't work out like that at all, I've actually now had my period for 10 days. I've continued to take the pills, I'm not sure if i should stop for a few days then start back up again, or what. Any advice is appreciated !!!! THANKS

I would stop, use backup for a couple of months, then start the Sunday after your next period to re-regulate things.

Keep taking them. When you first start taking the pill, it can take at least a month for your cycle to regulate (which is why your period still came). If you stop and wait, it's like starting all over again and you'll probably have the same result.

You should never try to trick your body like that. It will take you months to get back on track with your pills and you'll never know when you'll get it till it finally regulates.

I skipped my fourth week pills for a vacation and it took several months for it to finally get back on track.

Talk to the pharmacist or the doctor about what to do, they would know best.
