If he's pacing around, tail between the legs, twitching, and craving attention, he's most likely in pain. Dogs hide pain very well. They don't whine or yelp until it's unbearable pain. If your dog is 9-10 years old, he is a senior. He could have arthritis and an achy body. If he has fleas, fleas carry a bunch of diseases that can be passed into the blood of a dog. Fleas bite, suck blood, and it transfers. This is why people use flea medications. There are so many things that you could be going wrong that you're not seeing, and it's impossible to diagnose online. Your dog needs to see a vet. If your parents won't take him to the vet, it is neglect, and you should not own a dog, period. If you were sick and at risk of something potentially dangerous or lethal, you can bet they'd call 911 or rush you to the emergency room. It should be no different for the family dog.

I think if you're bleeding more than a few tablespoonsful, call the doctor. The contractions sound like early labour, but you didn't say if they are regular or if they are getting closer together.
You may want to let him know about this popping sound with the wetness, you may be leaking amniotic fluid...but since you're going in tomorrow it probably doesn't matter right this minute.
Give them a call, see what they say.

No need to worry! If I were you, I'd be jumping up and down. A "popping" sound would most likely be your water breaking. The bloody discharge is probably a bloody show. Your contractions are probably the beginning of labor. I would contact your doctor and explain what is going on. I was told by my doctor to contact them once I think my water breaks. It sounds like everything is happening all at once again, like it did with your first pregnancy. Good luck and stay calm - your body is meant to do this!

Sweetie, it sounds like your water just broke. This is an exact description of what I've heard (the doctor actually broke my water). I don't know that there should be bright red blood though. Call the doctor and go immediately to the hospital!!!

It sounds like your water broke. Call your doctor and let him know. It's probably time to get to the hospital. If your water has broken, you want to have the baby within the next 24 hours to help avoid infection.

It sounds like your water broke. When mine broke, it felt like a "pop" as well, followed by a gush of water. My mucous plug soon followed. Make sure that your amniotic fluid is clear and not brown or green.
I would head off to the hospital as soon as possible.
Good luck!

Oh my! I got cold chills when I read your question!! Considering you're due date has passed, I'm sure your symptoms are those of the first stages of labor. Go ahead and call your doctor since your water may have broken. The baby is more suseptible to infection when your water breaks. They'll probably go ahead and admit you and wait on the baby to come! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
