Also under the new Democratic tax proposals are the moving of the lowest tax rate from 15% (Under Bush) to 10% thus putting 5 million working poor back onto the tax rolls....

The left will harp about the 1% all day, but they keep this quiet for they still need more money for social programs, I get a kick out of the sheep that follow the tactic instead of really looking at the Democratic Tax plan.

On the surface, your question seems somewhat intelligent. But digging just beneath the surface what's the difference between Democrats and Republicans?

Democrats want to tax us and overspend us into bankruptcy. Republicans want to (sometimes) cut taxes (for votes) yet spend us into bankruptcy just the same. The end result is insanity that if this generation fails to address properly (just like the previous generation that are now on Social Security further bankrupting America) then the next generation will be even further behind the 8 ball.

Democrats and Republicans (save for a few souls like Ron Paul) are merely puppets for the owners of the Federal Reserve who want to bankrupt America for their own political agenda.

In 1900 - before the Fed existed, Americans paid 5% of their annual earnings to support local, state and federal government in the form of taxes. Public debt was considered ludicrous and borderline insane by both political parties. Just 100 years later the average American found that they were paying just over 33% of their earnings in taxes and that the combined public debt (local, state and federal) was so outrageously enormous that not even the Concord Coalition bothered to add it up.

Voting Republican (aside for Ron Paul) is about as insane as voting Democrat and those who do so are merely pawns for the owners of the Federal Reserve and will be remembered for helping to flush America down the toilet.

For every problem there are multiple solutions. What are some ideas you have?

For those of you who are ignorant on this topic and think the USA needs to increase taxes, here is what the US Department of the Treasury is saying about the tax increases scheduled for 2011.

http://www.treas.gov/offices/tax-policy/library/2011-TaxRelief_2007.pdf

$50,000 annual income today ($55,100 in 2011) would see a $2,145 INCREASE (from $1,383 to $3,527) or 155 percent higher tax bill;

• $60,000 annual income today ($66,200 in 2011) would see a $1,863 INCREASE (from $3,030 to $4,893) or 61 percent high tax bill.

According to the congressional budget office, the United States government had a total tax receipts of $2,407 Billion. Of that $1,044 came from personal income tax and another $1,009 Billion came from gasoline and other taxes.

For more info see
http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/81xx/doc8116/05-18-TaxRevenues.pdf

So who really wants to pay more taxes? The United States government is recording record tax receipts in 2007. Highest in history.

We don't need higher taxes in the United States, what we need is for the Federal Government to cut spending. $17 Billion of pork in last Military Spending Bill can go a long way to cutting the deficit.

The tax cuts that would be repealed affect the top 2% or so of Americans. The rest of us won't be paying more... We will however (HOPEFULLY) see that money fund healthcare for all uninsured Americans, it will go to fund real education reform, maybe we will even be able to lower the deficit by a small amount.

What I really want is for everyone to stop complaining about this and that being under funded, all the while refusing to allow taxes that could help. We are a selfish, greedy nation built on the backs of the less fortunate, it is time that we give back by funding welfare reform programs like welfare to work, and further funding education throughout our nation so that everyone truly does have a chance to live the American dream.

Ultimately, you get what you pay for... that doesn't just apply to your Prada and Gucci.

Look, eventually taxes are going to be raised anyway(as Bush Sr. found out after the reagan mess). You can't have a never ending cycle of borrowing, eventually the piper needs to get paid...and the only meat in the tax cuts that will be raised under Dems is on the wealthiest 10%, the only people who received true relief the first time around anyways

Jesus...The faith people continually place in our ever-inefficient government never ceases to amaze me.

No, I do NOT want the tax breaks to be repealed. I want the administration to adjust its spending. Billions of dollars are wasted on pork projects, or those dollars simply disappear. I'd like our representatives to show some restraint and accountability. I pay plenty of taxes as it is.

Yes. I want the middle class to pay less taxes, not the richest 1% of the population. It's all a part of my evil plan.
