ok everyone go do a little homework on oil. Min of 400 year worth in Colorado, wake up people and smell the coffee. You need to get off the Liberla side of yourself and look at the oil here in the USA. Can be extracted for $12.00 a barrell.

Who said there was no oil here? I know there is oil here. Its getting around enviromentalist groups is the problem. Plus they make a lot more money doing it this way then they would drilling for it here. Its all about money plain and simple. Why produce when you can control supply and demand and make billions each quarter. They drill here and tap into our oil they won't make near that much. Greed bud, greed.

I dont know how much is there but there is alot of oil in the mountain west. And if you did a search for oil wells in those states you would find no shortage of information.
I know of oil wells in wyoming and utah that are capped and not in use. Why... environmental reasons as well as that the oil in the mountain west isnt as good of quality as in the the middle east. So it would take more refining to get gasoline grade oil out of it and some would only be home heating oil or industrial grade oil.

I do know that back in the early 1980's (or thereabouts), oil shale was a huge booming industry in the Grand Mesa valley areas. I also know it went bust 5 years later.
There is no question we have oil in the US. Also no question we are dealing with rabid environmentalists in getting it.
The war in Iraq is not about getting oil. Maybe that was your point.
