Everyone refers to them as middle class, they've only attained that status recently due to careers. Both come from working class backgrounds - hence the accents.

still left the kids though, regardless of class, if they were on the Social living in a council house, the media would be vilifying them!

what's the question? What working class accents do you mean? Is there one?
He is Scottish, hence Scottish accent and she is from Leicestershire, hence Leicester accent.
All makes sense to me. Not sure where class comes into this.
Thought you were educated is this true?
That was a question by the way, just so you know what a question is for next time.

well I'm Irish, all the doctors I ever knew growing up had Irish accents, now that I'm in the UK, I have spent this afternoon at a hospital with my daughter and almost every time I heard a doctor speak it was with a celtic accent.
Incidentally, apropos to nothing, the conversations around the corridors between nurses was all about the McCanns and how stupid they are. I saw no butt licking in the good old NHS where they're concerned

What accent?Accent doesnt define your class, the area you live in does. What does class have to do with having your child snatched. Are you saying if you lived on a rough estate and had no job your children could be snatched by a Fagan-type,but then again Olivers family turned out to be upper class!! uncanny

Well, that still makes them middle class then. I don't get your point. If we said they were working class then we would be wrong. We could go with the 'they used to be working class' comment instead but it seems a little irrelevant.

PRECISELY WHAT I THINK....
The posh or middle class northerners that I know have no accent. and I believe that I said this in one of my posts....

Their so-called middle class status is merely by virtue of their professions but their backgrounds are working class. You only have to listen to Gerry McCann's sister ( is it ?) to appreciate that.. and I am not talking about her accent.. she just comes across as somewhat ... rough!

P.S My father is a doctor and he has found this whole doctor reverence thing quite funny! I bow to him every night now!

What's your question.
If you ask a question you should generally wait for someone else to answer it, otherwise its not a question but only a remark or your own thoughts!!!
