I've recently taken online IQ tests and always had very low results. The best was 74!! As I have a "normal" life (at least I think so!! :) I was wondering if none of you outhere know someone with low IQ and if it is "visible" from the outside... mmm .. Is this a clear question?.. hope so, bye!

Very clear. In some cases, like Down's Syndrome, a low IQ is accompanied by certain physical characteristics that are immediately recognizable. Take the test again, and take your time. You seem intelligent and articulate..the number just doesn't match up with what I am seeing from you.

Okay, everyone here hit a true point and then either left something out or cancelled it out with a bit of misinformation. Here we go.
Online IQ (Intelligence Quotient) tests are not valid to say the least. Ask your parents if you went to a public school, and if they don't know, ask your guidance counselor for your real score. The fact that you are using a computer well enough to find an IQ test and then ask about it here implies nothing about your IQ.With an IQ of 74, you could be 13 years old and operate the computer perfectly well. (in other words, a ten year old can operate a computer the way you are doing now)
The tests are not prejudiced, nor do they evaluate your aptitude in specific situations. They only compare your problem-solving (using techniques not related to linguistic, mathematical, artistic, or any other previously learned skills) abilities to those of others who took the test and decide your score based on a bell shaped curve. Ex. If you are 10 years old and score the same as about 80 percent of 13 year olds, your score would be a 130 because 13/10*100=130. Those who say that the test is prejudiced toward any race, religion, or gender are generally looking for an excuse to not realize that certain ethnic groups have evolved with different skills. ie, African Americans were formerly slaves and were bred and sold for their ability to work and entertain. Not to think. Thus they excell in professional sportsand entertainment, but often not in the classroom. There are exceptions, so don't get offended anybody, but average African American IQ scores are about 15-20 points lower than those of the average of caucasians'.
Intelligence is not judged through appearance, otherwise, students would be able to show up at school, have a teacher look at them, and then leave with a grade. Don't believe online IQ tests. They're mainly for entertainment. Low IQ isn't visible from the outside except in the most extreme cases, but that has nothing to do with you. Your question is more highly literate than would be obtained from a 74 IQ, so don't worry about it.

Do not believe online IQ tests. The way you write indicates an IQ much higher than 74. If you have to ask this question, it means that no one believes you have the so-called low IQ. If you want to know your actual IQ, have your parents ask the school guidance counselor. By law, schools are required to give this info to parent.

I just Can Say One Thing from your Question That U Want To Ask That can anyone know b6y just seeing somebody that he/she is having low IQ, But This is not Case Its Not Based Upon any IQ Test Weather You Are Of Low IQ Person,it based upon your thinking and efficiency of tackling or handling certain situations where u need to think really,are able to tackle those problems ?,Are You Able to think about that problems? these criteria is best to map your IQ.Not Any IQ On line Test.SO BE TENSION FREE AND ENJOY YOUR LIFE !

If you had an IQ of 74 I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to be typing this question or be understanding what I'm writing either.
And even if it was, you don't necessarily have Downs Syndrome or something you can see visibly but would just be mentally retarded, and wouldn't affect your appearance.

Intelligence quotient tests are notoriously prejudiced. If you are worrying about taking IQ tests online then you are wasting your time. It is impossible for anybody to use IQ tests and find out if a person has the common sense to succeed in their job or fulfill their personal obligations.
