It looked pretty serious on the news, not just a bunch of weirdos.

also, this is just a question, not voicing my veiws here. seen it on tv and was wondering how big this is. and clinton was almost impeached right before his term ended. so end of term would not impact it if its going to happen

wow i didnt realize id get my head bit off for asking this. but again it wasnt a protest. it was a meeting with local politicians present. i was just wondering if his lying in order to go to war was an impeachable war crime. if he got oral sex it would be lol.
seriously though, I thought maybe his lying, or going to war under false pretense would be illegal,

I didnt think either that there are so many in support of this war. now we cant pull out immediately because were in over our heads, but i dont think it should have gotten this far.... but im just an american citizen so what i think really has no impact...

No grounds for impeachment equals no impeachment ...... plain and simple. I bet this tidbit of information was seen on mainstream media. "The People" can't impeach anyone.

An impeachment of Bush is highly unlikely. The Republicans did that to Clinton, and most of America saw it for what it was--a partisan political stunt. Bush has certainly done plenty wrong in his tenure in the White House. But for an impeachment, someone would have to find tangible evidence of Bush either personally breaking a law or covering up for others breaking the law. The evidence would be hard to find, and it would likely be tenuous. As anti-Bush as the country has become, people only would only want to see a sitting president kicked out of office for a true smoking gun.

While I am harsh critic of President Bush, I wouldn't call for his impeachment. It would waste far too much time and money. Enough money has been wasted on the war in Iraq as it is. The last thing we need is to overpay some independent counsel and cause a 3 or 4 month political circus. I'd rather see the president and the congress focus time, money, and energy on ending the war in Iraq.

there are no war crimes; and mishandling of the war?- lets see them do better. It will not happen- if these were educated people they would understand that they have no validity in the situation. If people wopuld study their history of just 7 yrs ago til now they would understand why and where of the situations.

if they want to impeach Bush - why don't they go after him for sending the Navy into Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina without a state of emergency declared- that he can get in trouble for - but without him overstepping his powers on that - those people would still be stuck in flood water. Their local and state governments refused to take the wheel.

He should be impeached, not only for his mishandling of the war but his total disregard for the wants of the American people. However, with all his republican cronies in congress, I doubt that they will impeach him. The American people will just have to suffer through his poor decisions and arrogant behavior for a long time to come. By the way, to the person who answered that Clinton was almost impeached-he was impeached, Congress reinstated him in the end.

From looking at the laws that govern congress, unless they can prove he deliberately violated the constitution, ie lying under oath, then they can't impeach. He has to break the law for them to impeach. Just because they think that the war is unjust, and they don't like him overall is not sufficient grounds for impeachment.

Here's what Al Gore thinks:

"With a year and a half to go in his term and with no consensus in the nation as a whole to support such a proposition, any realistic analysis of that as a policy option would lead one to question the allocation of time and resources," Gore said during an interview with PBS.

When asked if impeaching Bush would be a good use of time, Gore replied, "I don't think it is. I don't think it would be successful."

He's right, I think.

You "seen" that, did you? He can't be impeached for "war crimes and mishandling the war." Where is he breaking the law there? Just another group of angry libs trying to get a workout by protesting and causing all manners of problems for the rest of us. Relax. Can't happen.

Clinton got impeached, but wasn't found guilty of anything criminal, so he didn't get thrown out of office.
I don't think Bush will get impeached, but he should be...I think a couple years after he gets out we'll find out something big that the White House is covering up--bigger than Iraq.

I think its all a bunch of political posturing. He will not be impeached. Impeaching him will embarass too many people with too much money. It would be an admission of making a mistake and you know how some people just never want to admit when they make a mistake. This situation is no different.

No! For what? The congress voted for it too! Are you willing to impeach them too? They all had the same intel. Don't believe the media, they will just spin everything around to make you believe anything.
