a. the effect of the added H+ would be to decrease the moles of CH3COO- and increase the moles of CH3COOH by the reaction :

H+ + CH3COO- >> CH3COOH

b. the effect of the added OH- is to covert CH3COOH to CH3COO- via the net reaction :

OH- + CH3COOH >> CH3COO- + H2O

c . we can use the equation

pH = pK + log [ CH3COO-] / [CH3COOH ]

Ka for CH3COOH is not 1.08 x 10^-5 but 1.8 x 10^-5

pKa = - log 1.8 x 10^-5 = 4.74

pH = 4.74 + log 0.1/ 0.1 = 4.74
